Well the rains came on Friday, however some brave souls came out to see what new items Ausleys had for 2010. We did not disappoint them as sales were up for the show and Mike and Charlie left Sunday wondering where the recession was. Seems that the Chevelle owners are hard at it restoring their cars. After all where else can you enjoy your investment than on an old car. The stock market is a gamble, savings and CD's are a joke, so why not restore a Chevelle. But don't forget to but those parts from Ausleys Chevelle Parts. Next up is a small show in Raleigh, then Myrtle Beach SC, and then off to warmer weather in Daytona Beach Florida. |

Well after Charlotte things had to get better. The weatherman was predicting 8-10 inches of snow and single digit temperatures and he was close. Thursday we arrived and to our surprise several customers showed up to pick up their pre-sold orders and we had a good day. Friday started out good but then the weather changed. 7 inches of snow changed the show and the people stayed at home. We were still surprised at the number of customers who braved the elements and showed up to make our 2nd show of the year a success. Not as good as last year but close. Those Tennessee boys know how to drive on snow and did not let the cold keep them from purchasing parts for their pride and joy, 1964-1972 Chevelles. Next up is Moultrie and it is coming fast, like this coming weekend. |

Well the first show of the new year and wow, what a flop. The guy who puts it on, reconfigured the spaces and we only had 12 foot deep spaces. The trailer is 9 feet wide. That left us just 3 feet to display all of our products. What a joke. With the weather also it made for a very slow weekend. This is one we may decide to wash our hands of next year. |

We were expecting warmer weather in Daytona but got a dose of cold, especially at night, for this year. On Tuesday we picked up our son at the airport and with all 4 of us we were pleasantly surpised at the amount of people that were in attendance this year. Sales were strong and a bit better than last year and this in very encouraging for the muscle car industry. 70-72 parts were the most asked for although the 66-67s are still strong. Very suprising is the interest in 1964-5 Chevelles. It is growing by leaps and bounds. |

The fall show marked the beginning of two weeks on the road for me and my wife and Brittany. We arrived and set up on Thursday and while setting up made quite a few sales. As for the weekend the show was up in sales and this was very encouraging as we are wondering about the old car market. After staying over on Sunday night we made the trip to Daytona for the Turkey Rod Run. |
